Director of Strategy at Cake & Arrow

Kate Muth has over 20 years of work experience in the field of digital content and design. Kate began their career in 1999 as a Page Designer at C+G Publishing. In 2000, they moved on to become the Art Director at Real Detroit Weekly. In 2004, they took on the role of Information Designer at Addison. The following year, they became an Information Architect at Siegel & Gale. In 2006, they were hired as a Senior Information Designer and Information Strategist at Carpenter Group. From 2008 to 2015, they worked at Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia as the Director of Digital Content Strategy and Senior Interaction Designer and Product Writer. During this time, they also held the role of Adjunct Faculty for Interaction Design MFA at the School of Visual Arts from 2011 to 2015. In 2015, they joined Cake & Arrow as the Director of Strategy and Content Strategist.

Kate Muth completed their Bachelor of Arts in English from Michigan State University in 1999. Kate then went on to receive their Master of Design from Carnegie Mellon University in 2004, specializing in Communication Planning and Information Design. In 2007, they earned their Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from The New School.
