Andrew Schaffner

Andrew Schaffner serves as Chair at California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo since July 2019 and has been a Professor at Cal Poly since August 1997. In these roles, Andrew teaches major courses in service and statistics, including Regression, Design of Experiments, Multivariate Methods, and R, and has proposed and developed the curriculum for the Cross Disciplinary Studies Minor in Data Science. Andrew holds a PhD in Statistics from the University of Washington, obtained from 1992 to 1997, and a BS in Mathematics from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo, completed from 1988 to 1992.
