David Askay

David Askay is a professor of communication studies at California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo. They earned their PhD in Organizational Science from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Their research focuses on social media use within contemporary organizations, exploring how social phenomena and technological design impact collective action. David has also consulted on various organizational issues, including knowledge management systems and online trust. Prior to their academic career, they held various roles in public health, education, and human-computer interaction.
