Joy M. Pedersen

Joy M. Pedersen, Ph.D., is currently the Assistant Vice President for Student Affairs and Dean of Students at California Polytechnic State University, where they provide vision, leadership, and administrative oversight for the Division of Student Affairs. As the founder of Clarity Collective LLC, they specialize in creating diverse, inclusive work environments through strategic planning and executive coaching. Joy has served as an adjunct professor at UMass Global, teaching courses in psychology, and has extensive experience in student affairs, including roles at California State University and Transitions Mental-Health Association. They hold a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership and Organization from UC Santa Barbara and a master's degree in Counseling and Guidance from California Polytechnic State University.
