Patrick Lin

Patrick Lin is the Director of the Ethics + Emerging Sciences Group at California Polytechnic State University, where they study the societal impacts of emerging technologies. They have served as an Ethics Fellow at the US Naval Academy and held various advisory roles, including with the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency and the World Economic Forum. Lin is currently an Executive Board Member of the Foundation for Responsible Robotics and a member of several prestigious boards and councils related to ethics, AI, and space policy. Lin’s academic credentials include a B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Ph.D. from UC Santa Barbara.
