Susan Cheng

Susan Cheng currently serves as the Associate Provost for Student Success at California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo, focusing on enhancing a holistic and inclusive student experience through collaboration across divisions. Previously, at Georgetown University Medical Center, Susan held roles as Associate Professor in the Department of Family Medicine, Course Director for Cultural Competency Journeys, and Co-Founder of the GUMC Bias Reduction Improvement Coaching Program, which addresses unconscious bias among faculty and staff. Susan also served as Senior Associate Dean for Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging at the Georgetown University School of Medicine, where strategies to enhance diversity were developed. Additional experience includes founding leadership programs for first-generation college students at Braven and consulting on teacher preparation at NewSchools Venture Fund. Susan Cheng holds a Doctor of Education Leadership from Harvard Graduate School of Education and a Master of Public Policy from Harvard Kennedy School.
