Walter Ruzzo

Walter Ruzzo has extensive experience in environmental health, safety, and security, serving in various leadership roles across multiple companies, including BHP Minerals and Gilead Sciences. They held the positions of Group Manager and Sr. Manager, further transitioning into director roles focusing on security and environmental health and safety. Currently, they are a member of the CAFES Dean's Advisory Council Executive Committee at California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo, having also served as Chair of the Swanton Pacific Ranch Advisory Council. Walter earned a Bachelor of Science in Natural Resources Management with highest honors from California Polytechnic State University and pursued graduate studies in Range Science and Mined Land Rehabilitation at Colorado State University.
