Director Of Engineering And Operations at Cal Solar

William Chen, P.E. has extensive experience in the renewable energy sector. William started their career at Seagate Technology as an Engineer in R&D from June 2007 to September 2008. William then worked at Vaillant Solar Systems Inc. as a Technical Design Engineer from February 2009 to January 2011. From January 2011 to July 2013, they served as the Vice President of Engineering at Integrated Cleantech Corporation. Following this, they held the role of VP of Engineering & Operations at Adroit Energy, Inc. from January 2011 to December 2017. Currently, they serve as the Director of Engineering and Operations at Cal Solar Inc., where they have been since December 2017. In this role, they direct and oversees the engineering department, mentors and scales the team, encourages knowledge sharing, and implements innovative and automated processes.

William Chen, P.E. completed their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Mechanical Engineering from the UC San Diego Jacobs School of Engineering in 2008. William also pursued a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Mechanical Engineering with an emphasis on Energy Studies from UC San Diego, which they completed in 2009.
