Hamid R.

Hamid R. is an accomplished technology leader with extensive experience in managing global information technology environments. Currently serving as VP and Acting CIO at CalAmp since May 2019, Hamid oversees all corporate IT functions, including hybrid cloud computing, data centers, and information security, while leading major system overhauls such as Salesforce CRM and Oracle Cloud implementations. Prior to this role, Hamid held various positions at EMCORE Corporation from 2003 to 2019, leading global IT initiatives for a public manufacturing company. Earlier career highlights include key roles at Agere Systems, Lucent Technologies, and EDS, where Hamid managed large-scale network infrastructures and IT support teams. Hamid earned a BS in Electrical Engineering from Umeå University from 1991 to 1995.
