Luis Velasquez

Luis Velasquez is the co-founder and President of the Iron Legacy Foundation, established in January 2023, where efforts focus on attaining 501(c)(3) status to provide scholarships to underprivileged students. Currently serving as an Information Security Engineer 1 at CalAmp, Luis previously held the position of Infosec Intern. Prior experience includes serving as Technical Support at ISACA Los Angeles Chapter, where responsibilities involved generating web pages and processing requests for cyber security events. As Co-Director of Labs for the Students With an Interest in the Future of Technology at Cal Poly Pomona, Luis led workshops on system administration and cyber security. Additional experience includes serving as Director of Events for the Management Information Systems Student Association and as a Customer Service Associate at Lowe's Companies, Inc. Luis holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Computer and Information Systems Security/Information Assurance from California State Polytechnic University-Pomona, completed in June 2022.
