Pioneering Sustainable, Decentralized Wastewater Treatment Solutions for a Cleaner South Africa.

For over 40 years, Calcamite has been at the forefront of South Africa’s water security landscape. As a specialized subsidiary of JoJo, we bridge the critical gap between sanitation needs and environmental protection through advanced, modular wastewater treatment systems.

We believe that packaged sewage treatment isn't just about infrastructure—it’s about quality of life. From remote rural schools to overloaded urban developments, we provide the technology to turn wastewater into a safe, reusable resource.

Why Leading Professionals Choose Calcamite:
We specialize in balancing three critical pillars: Sustainability, Cost, and Compliance. Our locally engineered systems are designed to scale with your project, ensuring that you never over-invest in CAPEX while maintaining 100% regulatory compliance.

What Sets Us Apart:

100% Biological Treatment: Our processes are robust under variable loads producing effluent safe for irrigation, toilet flushing, and dust suppression.

Engineering-Led Efficiency: By utilizing fine-bubble aeration and anaerobic primary digestion, we significantly lower operational costs and energy consumption.

Plug-and-Play Scalability: Our pre-assembled, modular units reduce on-site labor and installation time, making them ideal for areas with limited technical capacity.

Expert Oversight: We don't just supply tanks. We offer full maintenance plans, remote monitoring and control of plants, and support from a team of qualified process controllers and engineers.

Our Vision:
We envision a South Africa where our rivers and streets are free of sewage, and where treated wastewater creates lush, green spaces for every community. Whether it’s protecting groundwater or ensuring a rural school has a grassed sports field for the next generation of athletes, we are committed to life-giving water management.

Let’s Build a Cleaner Future.
