Peter McGowan is an experienced production planner and estimator with a diverse background in various industrial roles. Currently serving as a Production Planner/Estimator at Calder Industrial Materials since May 2023, Peter has previously held positions including Production Planner at Teledyne CML Composites and Production Controller at Remsdaq Ltd. Throughout a career spanning over three decades, Peter has demonstrated expertise in productivity management, planning, customer liaising, subcontractor management, stock control, health and safety, people management, and cost minimization. Key achievements include the formulation of training programs for staff development and mentoring an apprentice. Peter's educational background includes an H.N.C. in Mechanical Engineering from Wirral Metropolitan College.

We serve many diverse markets and applications including medical radiation shielding, industrial x-ray, synchrotron beamline shielding, petrochem and chemical industries, battery terminals, steelmaking lead shot, counter weights and ballast, fabrications, lead lining and coatings. We carry out all our state-of-the-art design, fabrication, machining and assembly work from our Chester facility.
