Guy Winstanley has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Guy worked as the COO at Caldera Heat Batteries Ltd starting in October 2017, where they played a key role in the development of a zero-carbon boiler technology that utilizes a heat battery to efficiently heat homes. Prior to this, they were a Research Associate at Newcastle University from August 2016 to May 2019. In January 2016, they started their own business, Winstanley Development Ltd, where they served as the Business Owner until October 2017. From March 2009 to January 2016, they worked as the Engineering Manager at Isentropic, overseeing the development and building of a novel thermodynamic storage system for energy storage. Before that, they owned Sabre (UK) Ltd from October 2007 to April 2010, providing outsourcing manufacturing services and advising on lean thinking and supply chain management. From November 1998 to July 2007, they were the Manufacturing Manager at Linde Material Handling, responsible for assembly production and introducing SAP R3 into the production areas. Guy began their career as a Production Manager at Federal-Mogul Powertrain from September 1992 to October 1998.

Guy Winstanley obtained a Bachelor's degree in Engineering from the University of Exeter, where they attended from 1987 to 1991.
