Joon Y. Chun

Joon Y. Chun is an accomplished footwear designer with extensive experience in the industry. Currently serving as a Footwear Designer at Caleres, Inc., since August 2025, Joon previously held the position of Associate Footwear Designer at Vionic Group from September 2019 to August 2025. Prior to that, Joon was the Lead Designer at SF City Impact, where responsibilities included strategizing and managing design projects. Joon co-founded 886 Design, LLC, offering design services to small and mid-sized businesses, and completed internships with Pensole in collaboration with New Balance and Vibram. Joon's early career included roles as a Sales Associate at Footwear Etc. and as an Apprentice at Model Shoe Repair. Educational qualifications include a Master of Fine Arts in Industrial Design from the Academy of Art University and a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies from California State University, Long Beach.
