Christopher Newton has extensive experience in the automotive training sector, currently serving as Operations Manager at Calex UK since 2007, where responsibilities include managing client requirements for prestigious clients like Jaguar Land Rover, PSA, and Volvo Apprenticeships, resulting in significant turnover exceeding £5 million. Previously, Christopher held the position of Regional Manager for North England at Automotive Skills from March 2006 to May 2007, focused on the retail automotive sector, and served as Programme and Operations Manager for the Jaguar Land Rover Apprenticeship Programme from 2003 to 2006, overseeing a team dedicated to training 415 apprentices across three centres.

More recently we have begun working with forward-thinking companies within the logistics, food & beverage, and pensions sectors to enhance their training proposition via the implementation of Virtual Learning Environments, Live Broadcasting and Social Learning Platforms. Established in 1997, we now employ over 350 staff and work with major clients across the UK and the globe. In the UK and Europe we are working with the Stellantis (ex-PSA, and ex-FCA), Volkswagen, Volvo, Jaguar Land Rover, Porsche, Bentley & Mercedes-Benz amongst others. Calex also has offices in Shanghai, China and in Michigan, USA where we are servicing many of the new electric car companies as well as projects on autonomous vehicles.
