The Calhoun Conservation District (CCD) was created in 1945 and has been the leading local conservation entity in Calhoun County, Michigan for more than 65 years. The CCD has a well-established track record working with the environmental and agricultural communities and coordinating conservation projects and programs throughout the county and southwest Michigan that benefit residents and the community as a whole. The CCD is your local source for assistance in all natural resource management and education needs.

Guided by a locally elected Board of Directors, the CCD employes knowledgeable staff that focus on ground and surface water issues, sustainable agricultural practices, environmental stewardship, education, wildlife habitat and forestry management, and community projects.
