Shuangwei Li

Shuangwei Li, PhD, DABT, RAC, currently serves as the Director of Toxicology at Calibr-Skaggs Institute for Innovative Medicines since June 2021. Prior to this role, Shuangwei held positions as Director of Nonclinical Development and Director of Toxicology at Cellics Therapeutics, Inc. from July 2020 to June 2021, and as a Senior Scientist in Toxicology at Gossamer Bio from May 2019 to July 2020. Key accomplishments at Gossamer Bio included developing toxicology strategies, executing study designs, and preparing regulatory submissions. Earlier experiences also include toxicology and pharmacology roles at La Jolla Pharmaceutical Company and Wellspring Biosciences, alongside postdoctoral research at the University of California at San Diego and Sanford Burnham Prebys Medical Discovery Institute. Shuangwei earned a Ph.D. in Molecular Cellular and Developmental Biology from the Shanghai Institute of Biochemistry and Cell Biology, Chinese Academy of Sciences.
