Sumit Chanda is a Professor at Scripps Research and a Senior Principal Investigator at Calibr at Scripps Research, positions held since October and November 2021, respectively. Sumit Chanda earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Molecular Pharmacology from Stanford University School of Medicine (1994-2001) and a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Biology/Biological Sciences from Cornell University (1989-1993), following a high school education at Williamville East High School (1985-1989).

This infrastructure, combined with Calibr’s drug discovery expertise, enables projects rooted in novel therapeutic mechanisms to progress from the laboratory through preclinical development and ultimately to the clinic through commercial, federal, or foundation partnerships.
