John Shon

John Shon is an innovative informatics executive currently serving as the Head of Data Science at Calico Life Sciences, where they lead efforts in personalized medicine. With a multidisciplinary background in medicine and biomedical informatics, they previously held senior roles at Janssen, Illumina, and Roche Pharmaceuticals, among others, and focused on developing informatics systems and tools across various disease areas. Shon's expertise includes the application of machine learning and next-generation sequencing technologies, and they have contributed significantly to drug discovery and clinical development. They completed their medical degree and a master’s in Medical Information Sciences at Stanford University, and are pursuing an AB in Biochemistry at Harvard University.
