Ryan Jones has extensive experience in business development and strategy within the life sciences sector. Currently serving as the Director of Business Development at Calico Life Sciences since May 2025, Ryan previously held multiple leadership roles at xilis, including Strategic Advisor and Vice President, Head of Strategy and Business Development, from November 2021 to May 2025. At Herophilus, from November 2018 to November 2021, Ryan was instrumental in the company’s acquisition by Roche / Genentech in 2023 as the Director of Strategy and Business Development. Prior to this, Ryan contributed to AbbVie’s Search and Evaluation & Alliance Management for Stemcentrx, focusing on antibody drug conjugate technologies. Ryan's academic credentials include a Postdoctoral Fellowship in Biochemistry and Biophysics from the University of California, San Francisco, and a Doctor of Philosophy in Neuroscience from the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA.
