Caliopa is a leader in Silicon Photonics components for data and telecommunications. The company was incorporated in 2010 as a spin-off from Ghent University and imec to commercialize a decade of research in Silicon Photonics. In 2013 Caliopa was acquired by Huawei Technologies.
