David Smith

David Smith, CFA, CTP, is a highly accomplished Senior Executive in Investment and Operations Management, currently serving as SVP of Private Equity Consulting at Callan since 2021. With over 15 years of capital markets experience, Smith has established a strong record in portfolio management across various asset classes, including private equity, hedge funds, and fixed income. Prior to this role, Smith served as Treasurer and Director of Investment Management at Syracuse University from 2013 to 2021 and was a Partner at Bay Hills Capital Management between 2008 and 2013. Smith holds an MBA in Finance from Syracuse University and degrees in Business and Operations/Marketing Management from Culver-Stockton College and Western Illinois University, respectively. Smith also has a background in Wilderness Education from the National Outdoor Leadership School.
