Peter Matson

Peter Matson has a strong background in data science and analytics. Peter most recently worked at Calligo as the Data Science Practice Lead, where they led a team of five data scientists and implemented machine learning models for clients such as Experian and Microsoft. Peter also played a key role in pre-sales calls and collaborated with the sales and marketing teams. Prior to that, they were a Data Scientist at Calligo, where they built a secure data pipeline and created a tabular model and interactive dashboard for identifying and addressing employee misconduct.

Before joining Calligo, Peter worked at Decisive Data as a Data Analytics Consultant, where they built an automated data pipeline and connected data from different departments within Microsoft. Peter also worked at etailz, Inc. as a BI Analyst, where they built a product shipping estimation tool and collaborated with data scientists to develop advanced statistical models. Peter started their career as a Mathematics Teacher at Kamiak High School, where they focused on mathematical reasoning and used statistical analysis to inform curriculum decisions. Peter also worked as a Substitute Teacher at Archbishop Murphy High School, teaching AP Statistics and Pre-Calculus.

Peter Matson completed their education in a chronological order. Peter began their tertiary education in 2010 at Western Washington University, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Mathematics. Peter completed this program in 2013.

In 2013, Peter went on to pursue a Master in Teaching degree in Secondary Education at Western Washington University, concluding their studies in 2015.

Subsequently, Peter attended Eastern Washington University from 2017 to 2018, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics.

In addition to their formal education, Peter obtained additional certifications. In August 2018, they completed the "DAT102x: Microsoft Professional Capstone: Data Science" program offered by edX. Furthermore, in March 2023, Peter acquired the "World Class Manager" certification from the institution World Class Manager.
