Jay got their start as a Senior Host & Producer at The Huffington Post, where they developed short form, premium and live content. Jay's objective was to stimulate conversations around trending topics including mindfulness, technology habits, career success and entrepreneurship. Jay's daily live show, #FollowTheReader reached over 1 million people and was No. 1 for audience engagement and participation amongst The Huffington Post live shows. On the show, they conducted entertaining, insightful and interactive interviews with high profile guests such as Tim Ferris, Russell Simmons, Deepak Chopra, Simon SInek, Gabby Bernstein and Marianne Williamson.

In 2016, Jay left The Huffington Post to start Jay Shetty Media & Coaching, where they continued creating content on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube and Pinterest. Jay also launched their podcast, On Purpose with Jay Shetty, which quickly became a top-rated show. In 2019, Jay was named Chief Purpose Officer at Calm, a global wellness company.

Jay is the author of Think Like a Monk: Train Your Mind for Peace and Purpose Every Day (2020), which shares the lessons they learned from living as a monk in India for 3 years. Jay is also a highly sought-after speaker who has given talks all over the world.

Jay Shetty is a social media personality, motivational speaker, and former monk who has a BSc (Hons) in Management Science from Cass Business School. Jay also has a background in behavioural economics, enterprise & innovation, marketing, statistics, finance, and philosophy.
