Brian Jaffe

Brian Jaffe is a technologist and veteran with a strong focus on the intersection of technology and civic engagement. They currently serve as a Board Member at CalMatters, aiming to enhance transparency and accountability in California's democracy, and are the Founder of California Cottage Company, which builds smart, green, naturally affordable housing in the northern Bay Area. Previously, Brian founded the civic engagement platform VOCA and co-founded Mission Street Manufacturing, where they developed kid-friendly 3D printers. Brian also held a senior management role at Apple and served in the US Navy as a Lieutenant. They earned an M.B.A. from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a Bachelor's degree from Princeton University.
