Simone Coxe

Simone Coxe has a long history of work experience. Simone began their career in 1982 as an Account Executive at Marx/David Advertising. Simone then moved to Ralph Silver Assoc in 1984, where they held the same role. In 1985, they founded and became President of Blanc & Otus. In 2009, they co-founded Equestrian Connect. In 2010, they became a Director at KQED. From 2006 to 2015, they held multiple roles at Internews, including Director, Board Chairman, and Director. In 2018, they became an Advisor at the UC Berkeley Graduate School of Journalism. Most recently, they have been a Chair Emeritus and Co-Founder, as well as Board Chairman and Co-Founder at CalMatters.

Simone Coxe attended Berkeley High School from 1973 to 1977, followed by the University of California, Los Angeles from 1977 to 1979. Simone then attended Sarah Lawrence College from 1979 to 1980 before completing their Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Government at the University of California, Berkeley from 1980 to 1981.
