Andrew Scano

Andrew Scano currently serves as Director of Asset Management at Calpine, overseeing Power Operations for 28 gas-fired power plants in the East and North Central Regions since April 2023. Previously, Andrew held the position of Plant Manager at NRG Energy for nine years, responsible for all aspects of a 613MW power plant's operations, maintenance, budgeting, and labor relations. Andrew's extensive experience also includes leadership roles as Plant Manager at NAES Corporation and Olympus Power Operations, where responsibilities included facility management, capital projects, and significant restoration efforts post-Hurricane Sandy. Andrew's career began at Palmark, Inc., where roles ranged from Production Manager to Safety/Environmental Coordinator. Additional prior experience includes project engineering positions at Roux Associates and CDM Federal Programs Corporation. Andrew holds a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from New York University's Polytechnic School of Engineering.
