Brett Kruse

Brett Kruse has extensive experience in the energy sector, currently serving as Vice President of Market Design at Calpine since April 2001, where responsibilities include representing the company in various ISO stakeholder activities. Previously, Brett held the position of Vice President of Governmental and Regulatory Affairs, focusing on NERC policy and participation in multiple committees. Other roles at Calpine include overseeing Generator Interconnection Agreements as Director of Transmission and managing market integration services as Manager of Market Integration Services. In addition to ongoing leadership at Calpine, Brett currently serves on the Board of Directors for several organizations, including the Association of Power Producers of Ontario and the Independent Power Producers of New York, and is a member of the NERC Reliability and Security Technical Committee. Brett's earlier career includes technical consulting and positions within Progress Energy's nuclear generation group. Educational credentials include studies at Texas A&M University and the University at Albany.
