Bryan Sams

Bryan Sams is an experienced executive in government and regulatory affairs, currently serving as Vice President of Government and Regulatory Affairs at Calpine since September 2019, after previously holding the position of Director in the same department. Prior to Calpine, Bryan Sams worked as the Director of Regulatory Affairs at Lone Star Transmission for less than a year and had a long tenure at NRG Energy from 2005 to December 2018, where Bryan Sams progressed through various roles including Director and Manager of Regulatory & Government Affairs. Earlier in career, Bryan Sams served as an Analyst at American Electric Power. Bryan Sams holds a Master of Science in Energy Policy and Finance from The University of Texas at Austin and a Bachelor of Arts in Geology/Earth Science from Ohio Wesleyan University.
