Mattie Heith

Mattie Heith serves as the Manager of Governmental and Regulation Affairs at Calpine, a position held since January 2024. Previously, Mattie was the Chief of Staff at the Public Utility Commission of Texas from April 2022 to January 2024 and also served as an Executive Advisor to the Executive Director during that time. With a notable tenure at the Texas Senate spanning from 2007 to 2021, Mattie held various roles, including Committee Director for the Senate Committee on Business and Commerce, Legislative Director for Senators Kel Seliger and Kelly Hancock, and Policy Analyst for the Senate Business and Commerce. Initial positions as a Committee Clerk were held in multiple Senate committees, alongside an earlier role as Assistant Committee Clerk. Mattie Heith earned a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from Texas State University.
