Matthew Strang

Matthew Strang is an accomplished professional in the field of mechanical engineering, currently serving as the Director of Tire Testing Operations at Calspan since April 2013. Matthew has also held various roles at Calspan, including Senior Manager of TIRF, Test Engineering Manager, Senior Mechanical Engineer, and Mechanical Engineer. Prior experience includes serving as Vice President of The Society of Automotive Engineers at the University at Buffalo, where responsibilities included organizing events and managing project resources. Additional experiences encompass a race team/design internship at Innovative Tuning, where engineering support was provided for a record-holding racecar, and roles at Gerster Trane and the University at Buffalo School of Engineering, focusing on logistics, mentorship, and educational support. Matthew holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University at Buffalo, obtained in 2013.
