Mateo Henderson

Mateo is an Associate Project Manager for the Innovative Mobility team at CALSTART. He is responsible for voucher processing and stakeholder engagement for Clean Mobility Options Voucher Pilot Program. Mateo works to accelerate shared clean transportation options for underserved communities throughout California. He has worked in Marketing, Education and Outreach for CARB’s Clean Vehicle Rebate at Center for Sustainable Energy. He also held a role at the Colorado Tourism Office, as Director of Visitor Services where he initiated efforts for statewide installation of EV chargers across Colorado’s top tourism destinations.

Mateo has a Master’s Degree in Sustainable Tourism Management from Colorado State University, and a Bachelor of Science in Environmental and Land Use Planning from Northern Arizona University. He has spent much of his professional and personal career supporting global volunteer efforts to advance education opportunities to underserved communities in Central and South America.
