Rian Troth

Rian Troth has extensive experience in program management and regulatory analysis, currently serving as the Defined Contribution Strategic Development Manager at CalSTRS since April 2019. Previous roles at CalSTRS include Defined Contribution Specialist, Pension Program Manager, and Benefits Planning Specialist. Prior to CalSTRS, Rian worked as a Senior Public Utility Regulatory Analyst at the California Public Utilities Commission and held various positions at SMUD, including Customer Program Manager. Earlier experience encompasses roles at the California Victim Compensation Board and the City of Sacramento. Rian holds an MBA from California State University-Sacramento and a Bachelor's degree in Research Psychology and Sociology with an emphasis on Law and Society from the University of California, Davis.
