James Stanfill

James Stanfill has a diverse work experience. In 2007, they began working as a Busser, Waiter, and Host at Quincy Street Ltd. Restaurant. James also worked as an Ocean Lifeguard for the County of Ventura that same year. In 2009, they became a Cafeteria Supervisor for UCSB - Housing and Residential Services. In 2011, they were an Undergraduate Researcher at the University of California, Santa Barbara, and a Water Quality Monitoring Intern at Santa Barbara Channelkeeper. In 2014, they were a Research Assistant at the W. M. Keck Center for Nano-scale Imaging. From 2013 to 2020, they were a Graduate Research Assistant and Teacher Assistant at the University of Arizona. In 2020, they became an Application Scientist at Nanoscience Instruments, and in 2022 they took on the role of Analytical Research Scientist at CALVIRI.

James Stanfill received their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Physical and Analytical Chemistry from the University of Arizona in 2020. Prior to that, they earned a B.S. in Chemistry and Biochemistry from UC Santa Barbara in 2012.
