Matt Freeman is a Principal at Matt Freeman Consulting, where they support partners in protecting the natural world through conservation planning, policy, and project management. With over thirty years of experience in land conservation, open space planning, and natural resource management, they have held senior roles at the Santa Clara Valley Open Space Authority, Land Trust of Santa Cruz County, and the Midpeninsula Regional Open Space District. Matt has a BA in Environmental Studies from the University of California, Santa Cruz, and a Master’s Degree in Community and Regional Planning from the University of Oregon. Currently, they serve as an advisor and board member for various conservation organizations while also managing their consulting practice.
