Herman Sloot

Herman Sloot has extensive work experience in various roles within the food and nutrition industry. Herman is currently serving as the VP Commercial Development at Calysta since September 2022. Prior to that, they worked at GELITA as the Global Vice President for Fats Proteins Minerals from July 2018 to August 2022. Herman also held the position of Manager Functional Proteins at GELITA from June 2014 to July 2018. Before joining GELITA, they worked at Dupont Nutrition and Health as the Group Sales Manager for Central Europe from January 2005 to May 2014. Prior to that, Herman Sloot worked at DSM Food Specialties as a Sales Manager from 1999 to 2005 and at Sara Lee as a Product Manager from 1995 to 1999. Herman began their professional career in the Ministry of Defense, serving in the Military Service from 1994 to December 1995.

Herman Sloot earned a Certificate in Global Management from INSEAD in 2021, with a focus on Leading for Results, Finance for Executives, and the Strategy Execution Program. Herman also holds a Bachelor's degree in Foodmarketing from Hanzehogeschool Groningen/Hanze University of Applied Sciences Groningen, which they obtained from 1989 to 1994.
