The botanic definition of the word "calyx" [pronounced KAY - liks] describes the outer petals of a flower that support the developing bud.  The calyx provides protection and support until the flower is ready to bloom, at which point it sheds away.  We decided to use it for our company name because like a calyx, we're here to provide the same support during the scope of your home project.
 
My wife Joanne and I founded Calyx Homes in 1997 and more recently we are known as Calyx Builds. We've been in the business of new home construction and remodeling for over 30 years.  For many years we focused on new home building, a service we still continue to offer.  However, much of our business now involves remodeling existing homes.  We've found that we truly enjoy working one-on-one with our customers, deciphering their home's history and isolating the problems they want fixed.
 
Above all else we value the relationships with our customers.  Your phone calls and emails are answered promptly during the scope of the project and we pay close attention to every single detail.  Our company prides itself in exceeding quality standards and completing your project on time.
 
In our network, we boast a large team of employees, trade contractors, and suppliers that can execute any component of the job at hand.
