Gar Higgins

Gar Higgins has a diverse work experience in the technology industry. Gar started their career at Accenture as a Consultant, where they worked on migrating a legacy mainframe system to Java/Spring/Hibernate. In 2010, they joined Google as a Senior Software Engineer on the Search Quality Evaluation Team, where they built tools for evaluating the quality of Google Search. Gar then joined Cambly Inc. as a Software Engineer, and later became an Engineering Manager and Director of Engineering. At Cambly, they worked on a wide range of features such as payments, messaging systems, and real-time systems. Gar also led various migrations and implemented improvements to increase reliability and observability.

Gar Higgins attended Thousand Islands High School from 1998 to 2002. Gar obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Cornell University, graduating in 2006.
