Keval Desai

Keval Desai is the Founder and Managing Director of SHAKTI, a venture capital firm established in December 2020, focusing on investments in early-stage tech companies that leverage AI and robotics. In addition to leading SHAKTI, Keval serves as a General Partner at InterWest Partners since April 2011, where the focus remains on early-stage tech startups. Keval has also been an investor in multiple companies, including Canva and The RealReal, where a role as a board member was held from 2013 to 2019. Other significant investments include Gatik, Swiftly, Inc., Cambly Inc., Stable, Abacus.AI (formerly RealityEngines.AI), and Queenly. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in Computer Science from UC Santa Barbara, an MBA from the University of California, Berkeley, Haas School of Business, and a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Mumbai.
