Max Wu, MCIPS has a diverse work experience in procurement and supply chain management. Max worked at Cambridge Commodities starting from November 2016, where they held various positions such as Head of Procurement and Procurement Manager. In these roles, they successfully managed and developed the supplier base to secure competitive prices, drive category growth, and maximize profits through effective supplier negotiations. Max also played a key role in category management, resulting in a significant increase in sales. Prior to this, Max Wu completed a postgraduate placement at Twinings, where they focused on reviewing and improving supply chain processes and performance measures. Additionally, they worked as a Strategy Consultant at The Beijing Axis from March 2011 to August 2015, where they successfully delivered multiple consulting projects and formulated a group sourcing strategy that significantly reduced sourcing costs for a South African apparel retailer.
Max Wu, MCIPS has a Master's Degree in Logistics and Supply Chain Management from Cranfield School of Management, which was completed in 2016. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor's Degree in Traffic Engineering (Specialized in ITS) from Sun Yat-sen University, which was obtained between 2006 and 2010. Max also holds the certification of MCIPS from The Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply.
