Sam Cook is an experienced editor at Cambridge Proofreading LLC since June 2020, with a substantial background in academia and human rights. From October 2011 to July 2018, Sam served as a lecturer in Politics and Legal Studies at the University of California, Santa Cruz, delivering courses on topics such as Human Rights and International Law. Prior experience includes a lecturer role in Diplomacy at the University of San Francisco and as Communications & Research Director at the International Gay and Lesbian Human Rights Commission, where Sam managed a team focused on advocacy and research strategies. Sam was also a Project Director for the PeaceWomen initiative at the Women's International League for Peace & Freedom, leading advocacy efforts related to women and conflict. Sam holds a PhD in Politics from the University of California, Santa Cruz, an LLM in Human Rights from Columbia Law School, and both an LLB and a Bachelor of Business Science in Economics & Law from the University of Cape Town.
