Muriel van Teeseling

Public Funding Associate at Cambrium

Muriel van Teeseling is a Junior Research Group Leader at Friedrich Schiller University Jena since January 2021, focusing on bacterial cell biology and collaborating within the Department of Microbial Interactions. Concurrently, Muriel serves as a Public Funding Associate at Cambrium and a Project Leader at ChemBioSys, investigating the influence of metabolites in algal microbiomes. Previously, Muriel led the citizen science project "Mikrobenjäger" and contributed to the Transregio Project 174 as a member of the Young Scientist Committee. Muriel's postdoctoral research experience includes studies at The Philipp University of Marburg and Umeå University, examining various aspects of bacterial cell biology. Educational background includes a Ph.D. in Microbial Cell Biology from Radboud University and multiple degrees in related fields from the same institution.
