Dan Lenz has a strong background in engineering, particularly in the field of analytical instrumentation. Dan started their career at GE Lunar in 1994 as a Senior Electrical Engineer, where they were responsible for designing and developing detector electronics for x-ray detectors and firmware development for x-ray source control. Dan then joined Imago Scientific Instruments in 2001 as Chief Engineer, where they focused on electronics design and control software development for time of flight mass spectrometry. In 2010, they moved on to CAMECA, where they served as the Director of Engineering. In this role, they led the development and launch of atomic resolution electronic microscopes, managed a product development team, and ensured regulatory compliance and certification.
Dan Lenz received their Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Dan attended the university from 1985 to 1989. Subsequently, they pursued further education and obtained a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Arizona State University, studying there from 1990 to 1991.
