Scott Fraser has a diverse work experience in the field of biology and biomedical engineering. Scott started their career in 1980 as a Professor of Physiology and Biophysics at UC Irvine, where they worked until 1991. After that, they joined Caltech as the Anna L Rosen Professor of Biology and Engineering & Applied Science, a role they held until 2012. In 2012, they became a Provost Professor of Biology & Biomedical Engineering at the University of Southern California. In 2015, they co-founded Varocto Inc, and in 2017, they co-founded Camena Bioscience. Currently, they are serving as the Director of USC Bridge Institute, a position they have held since 2021.
Scott Fraser received a Bachelors of Science degree in Physics from Harvey Mudd College, where they studied from 1972 to 1976. Scott then pursued further education at The Johns Hopkins University, where they earned a Ph.D. in Biophysics from 1976 to 1979.
