Michael Higginbottom has extensive experience in impact evaluation and quality assurance within the financial services sector. Currently, at Camfed since June 2017, Michael engages in analysis and reporting for monitoring and evaluation activities while supporting impact teams across different countries. Prior to this, Michael worked at Randstad Financial & Professional from December 2011 to December 2015 as a Senior Quality Assurance Coach at the Financial Ombudsman Service, where responsibilities included coaching adjudicators, conducting quality checks, and collaborating with management to ensure consistency in case handling. Michael also served as a Quality Assessor and an Adjudicator at the same organization, focusing on the resolution of consumer disputes. Earlier experience includes a role as Customer Care Manager at Huntswood. Michael holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics and Management Studies from The University of Nottingham, obtained in 2007.

Through a gold-standard system of accountability to the young people and communities we serve, we have created a model that radically improves girls’ prospects of becoming independent, influential women. Our impact increases exponentially through the Association of young women educated with CAMFED’s support. Together, we multiply the number of girls in school, and accelerate their transition to secure livelihoods and leadership.
