Olivia Burningham

Development Officer

Olivia Burningham is a dedicated professional with diverse experience in humanitarian work, research, and education. Olivia served as a Volunteer English Club Coordinator at Student Action for Refugees, where coordination of an English language class for asylum seekers took place. A research fellowship was undertaken at King's College London, focusing on the relationship between lone actor terrorism and domestic and gender-based violence. As a Student Consultant with the Disasters Emergency Committee, Olivia contributed to a report on climate-based humanitarian needs. Current roles include Development Officer at CAMFED and Research Intern at WONDER Foundation, investigating childhood institutionalization in Uganda. Previous experience includes medical leadership with Global Brigades, as well as customer service roles at Tesco, Sainsbury's, and Waitrose. Olivia holds a Master of Science in International Development and Humanitarian Emergencies from The London School of Economics and Political Science, alongside a First Class Honours Bachelor of Science in Psychology from King's College London.
