As a summer day camp for boys and girls, we’ve paid special attention to maintaining the culture and feel of an old-fashioned sleepaway camp, but with the proximity and convenience of a day camp!

With a strong culture of respect, wonderful staff who love children, and 15 beautiful wooded acres set on Centerport Harbor, Camp Alvernia is the perfect place for boys and girls to grow.

We’ve been serving children, youth, and families from all over Suffolk County and Long Island since 1888.
