Ryan Oliver

They are the Chief Executive Officer of Ampere and of Canada Learning Code, reflecting an independent, high-energy, self-starter approach with an entrepreneurial spirit and an interest in Indigenous issues, technology and the arts. They previously owned Dogbus Entertainment (2000-2008), operating a record label, promotion company, film production and comedy publications, releasing 22 albums and organizing over 300 concerts and 500+ publications. They serve as Lead Producer/Developer-Owner at Pinnguaq (2011–Present), the first Canadian Arctic Startup company, and have held roles with the Government of Nunavut as Senior Analyst/Project Manager (2013-2014) and as Senior Advisor: Cultural Industries, developing policy and advising on programs, trends, and policy recommendations for all aspects of the cultural industries. Their education includes a BA in Indigenous Management and Economic Development from Trent University (2011-2012), a BA in Political Economics from Athabasca University (2005-2010), a Diploma in Film and Television and a Diploma in Script Writing from Humber College (1999-2000; 2002), and a Diploma in Developmental Services Worker from St. Lawrence College (2002-2004).
