David Ayers

David Ayers has extensive experience in the finance sector, with a career spanning over three decades at Canada Life and The Great-West Life Assurance Company. Currently serving as the Senior Managing Director of Derivatives at Canada Life since June 1989, David oversees a $30 billion Derivative Portfolio that manages interest rate and currency risk for fixed income and corporate portfolios. Previously, David held the position of Assistant Vice President of Bond Investments, focusing on structured risk and derivatives, where responsibilities included managing derivative portfolios and overseeing government, provincial, and municipal fixed income portfolios. David holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Finance from The University of British Columbia, obtained in 1989.
