Stéphane Roy

Defence Attaché

Stéphane Roy is the current Canadian Defence Attaché to Poland, Czechia, and Slovakia. They have extensive military experience, having served as a Troop Commander with the United Nations in 1998 and holding various high-ranking positions within NATO from 2013 to 2017, including Commanding Officer during Operation ATHENA. Previously, Stéphane was a Commanding Officer in the Canadian Armed Forces from 2017 to 2019 and served as the Director Joint CIS at the Department of National Defence from 2019 to 2020. Stéphane holds a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering and a Master's degree in Business Administration, both from the Royal Military College of Canada, and attended the NATO Defense College from 2021 to 2022.
